Tuition and Financial Aid

Youth Orchestras of San Antonio provides world-class orchestra experience to students from across the San Antonio region. Tuition varies program to program based on the amount of instruction, rehearsal, and performance time provided. We make our programs accessible to all students, regardless of their financial background. Need-based financial assistance is available for all YOSA programs. To apply for financial aid, families must complete the Financial Aid Application through their YOSA Portal account and provide a form of income documentation by May 19, 2025.

Financial Aid

YOSA is committed to making our activities accessible for families, regardless of financial constraints. There is no fee to audition for YOSA Orchestras. Financial aid is offered at the beginning of each season based on a family’s income, household size, and other family or financial circumstances. Families can expect strict confidentiality regarding their assistance application and results. Every effort will be made to meet the needs of young musicians and their families.

To apply for financial aid, families must complete the Financial Aid Application through their YOSA Portal account and provide one of the following forms of income documentation by May 19, 2025:

  • 1040 Tax Form (Most Recent Year)
Submit your IRS 1040 form. We use Line 11 to determine total income.

  • H1028 Form Employment Verification
Completed and signed by an employer to confirm your household income.

  • Federal Assistance Award Letter
A letter (physical or digital) confirming eligibility for programs such as WIC, SNAP, or similar. The letter must clearly state household income.

If you have questions about the application or documentation or need to verify your income in a different way, please don’t hesitate to reach out at registration@yosa.org or call our offices at (210) 737-0097. YOSA is here to support your family.
